Neighbour dispute leads to arrest

A dispute between neighbours in French River has resulted in the arrest of a Thorold man.

Police say on the evening of June 5, Noëlville OPP responded to the dispute complaint on Amateewakea River Road.

Investigation revealed, a man had threatened and harassed the victim.

On the evening of June 6, with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team, a man was arrested. 

As a result of the investigation, Christopher McGean, 26, from Thorold, Ontario, is charged with:

  • Uttering threats - damage property
  • Criminal harassment - threatening conduct
  • Mischief - obstructs, interrupts or interferes with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property

McGean will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 19 in Sudbury.
