Near North Students Making a Difference: A Work of Heart

The Near North District School Board wishes to extend congratulations to students who will be honoured as ‘Students Who Make a Difference,’ at the 28 th Annual Evening of Applause on Wednesday, March 25th at Ecole Secondaire Catholique Algonquin. Students were selected for being positive role models who demonstrate leadership in social justice issues. The Near North District School Board took part in the initiative through anti-racism education, events in the schools and an anti-racism art contest. Kudos to the following recipients:  Grade 2 E.T. Carmichael Public School student, Diesel Lang  Grade 4 Alliance Public School student, Ria Demeester  Grade 7 Phelps Central Public School student, Adin Desjardins  Grade 12 Almaguin Highlands Secondary School student, James Johnson  Grade 12 Chippewa Secondary School student, Madison Young  Grade 11 F. J.
