The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) North Bay will present the nineteenth "Gift of Reading" to a North Bay elementary school on Tuesday March 5, at 9:40 a.m.

This year's class to be honoured will be Mrs. Doucette's kindergarten class at Mother St. Bride's.

"The mandate of CFUW is to cultivate excellence in education. In an increasingly technological world, good old fashioned bedtime stories are still one of the best ways to bolster a child's reading skills," says Chair Natalie Brunette,

"This year, local members of CFUW North Bay will be presenting each SK (Senior Kindergarten) child at Mother St. Bride's school with a 'keeper book' to take home and enjoy many times. This presentation will take place as part of CFUW's celebration of International Women's Week.
