More than $1.7 million was invested into 11 small business start-ups

Leads to the direct creation of 25 new jobs and the retention of 105 jobs

The Board of Directors of NECO Community Futures Development Corporation held its 30th annual general meeting today at their new offices at 222 McIntyre Street West, North Bay.

Chair Narry Paquette provided an overview of the activities and results generated through the Community Futures program according to a news release from the organization.

This year, more than $1.7 million was invested into 11 small business start-ups and seven expansion projects leading to the direct creation of 25 new jobs and the retention of 105 jobs in various communities in Nipissing East and East Parry Sound districts.
