NORTH BAY – CFB North Bay 22 Wing Concert Band will be presenting a special military concert – “The Harps of War – Melodies and Memories of World War II”, at the Capital Centre on Wednesday, November 19th at 7:30 pm, with the proceeds from the performance going to support the Special Olympics Ontario 2015 Provincial Winter Games being held in
North Bay January 29th to February 1st.

The concert is based on two books of the same title written by author W. Ray Stephens, a bandsman who served overseas during the war, describing his many experiences from 1939 to 1945. Songs from that era, including melodies by Glen Miller, Benny Goodman and the Andrews Sisters, will be performed by 22 Wing and special guests, the 8 Wing Pipes and
Drums from CFB Trenton.

Tickets can be purchased at the Capitol Centre Box Office or online at www.capitolcentre.org. The cost for adults is $25, $20 for seniors (65+), while students (University/College and under) are $15 each.
