Once again this year, the Near North District School Board is offering a wide range of learning opportunities for students this summer.  Credit courses are offered in all three regions of the district, including reach-ahead, upgrading and remediation.

At the Laurentian Learning Centre in North Bay, classroom-based courses will be offered from July 4-28, 2016. Repeat credit courses run from either 8:30 am to 11:30 am or 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All other courses run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.

Cooperative education credits are offered at Almaguin Highlands Secondary School, Parry Sound High School and Widdifield Secondary School, allowing students to earn one or two credits through a combination of work experience and in-class activities.

Off-site experiential learning opportunities to earn credits are available, including the TOROS production of West Side Story, E-Learning credits and at specialized courses at the Canadian Ecology Centre in Mattawa.

Registration forms and course information for all summer programs are available at Near North secondary schools or online at www.nearnorthschools.ca.  Registration deadlines vary with each program.
