Manchester’s Sleep Centre, Furniture, & Spas donates beds to homeless shelter

"Much to their surprise and excitement Manchester’s asked how many beds Hope Awaits needed in total, and then offered to donate all of the beds the shelter needed!

Hope Awaits Ministries has been working to open a men’s homeless shelter in North Bay since August of 2013  and now the dream is closer than ever to becoming a reality.

On May 2, 2016, Hope Awaits purchased a building located at 390 First Ave E (the corner of First Ave and Fisher St).

"Since that time the board members and staff have been working to get the building ready for operation. Renovations are underway, and through this process many local businesses and tradesmen have donated services and supplies. It has been a tremendous encouragement to see how the community is rallying around this endeavour to see it open," says a news release.

"On December 15, 2016 Hope Awaits received another blessing as Manchester’s Sleep Centre donated all of the mattresses, box springs and bed frames that will be needed at the shelter."

When Hope Awaits was searching for beds they approached Shane from Manchester’s asking if he could donate just one box spring and one mattress.

"Much to their surprise and excitement Manchester’s asked how many beds Hope Awaits needed in total, and then offered to donate all of the beds the shelter needed! We are so thankful for the generous donation by Manchester’s and everyone else who have come alongside us to see this dream become a reality."
