Man yelling at store staff draws police attention

On October 21, 2016 at 6:21 a.m., members of the West Parry Sound OPP were dispatched to a business in Parry Sound after receiving a report that a male had gained entry into the business.

OPP investigation revealed the male attended the location and gained entry inside the building. He then left, but remained in the area and began yelling at staff that was at the business.

As a result of the investigation, William VANDERHEYDEN, 52 years of age from Barrie was arrested and charged with;

  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence, 

  • Two counts of Mischief Under $5,000, 

  • Three counts of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, 

  • Theft Under $5,000, 

The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
