On Friday November 10, OPP Powassan officers were called to East Mills Township to speak to two parties over a neighbour dispute. Officers spoke to both parties and began an investigation.
On Monday the OPP received another call that one of the parties had threatened to shoot other.
As a result of the police investigation, William Slavik, 50, of East Mills Township, has been arrested and charged with:
- Assault and
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
Slavik is being held in custody for a bail hearing today at the Ontario Court of Justice North Bay.
