Man charged after giving false name

He was also found to be in possession of stolen property.

On March 7, at approximately 3 p.m., a member of North Bay OPP stopped and spoke with a male pedestrian on the side of Highway 11, in North Bay. 

The man provided a false name to the officer and upon further investigation, his true identified was obtained. He was also found to be in possession of stolen property.

Stanley Ameralik, 34, of no fixed address, was charged with:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000,
  • Two counts of failing to Comply with a probation order 
  • Public Mischief,

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay, on March 8.
