It was found that the logging truck had lost a set of dual wheels on the trailer.

On February 29, at 3:30 p.m., members from the Espanola OPP responded to a traffic complaint about a logging truck losing some vehicle parts travelling westbound on Highway 17, in the Township of Nairn.

Police located the vehicle on Highway 6 and initiated an investigation.

As a result of the investigation, it was found that the logging truck had lost a set of dual wheels on the trailer.

Perras Fence Supplies from Azilda and the driver, Christopher MATTE, 37 years of age, from Sudbury are both charged with: Wheel separation – commercial motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

Both will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola, on May 12, 2016, to answer to the charges.
