Ukrainians now living in North Bay have organized a special event where they will sing "Shchedryk" (Carol of the Bells) in their own language as well as English, to honour the Baptism of Jesus.

They will perform in flash-mob style tomorrow (Saturday), Jan. 6 at noon in front of the food court at Northgate Shopping Centre.

About 20 Ukrainian families have moved to the city since Russia invaded their country  Feb. 24, 2022, displacing more than five million internally and forcing six million others to become refugees across the world.
