July 2016 statistics

Over the month of July 2016, the North Bay Police Service responded to 105 domestic-related calls for service. As a result of police investigations into these complaints, 27 people were arrested and a total of 73 criminal charges were laid.

17 men were arrested and charged. The charges were:

  • 14 assaults
  • 5 assaults with a weapon
  • 4 threatening
  • 1 criminal harassment
  • 2 forcible confinements
  • 1 robbery
  • 4 thefts under $5000
  • 2 mischiefs
  • 15 failures to comply with release orders
  • 7 charges related to domestic violence with police and public as victims (police pursuit/escape)

August 2016 statistics

Over the month of August 2016, the North Bay Police Service responded to 90 domestic-related calls for service. As a result of police investigations into these complaints, 14 people were arrested and a total of 23 criminal charges were laid.

Six men were arrested and charged. The charges were:

  • 4 assaults
  • 4 threatening
  • 3 mischiefs
  • 2 failures to comply with release conditions

Eight women were arrested and charged. The charges were:

  • 5 assaults
  • 1 threatening
  • 1 criminal harassment
  • 1 robbery
  • 2 failure to comply with release conditions
