The North Bay and District Labour Council is hosting the 3rd Annual United Way Labour Breakfast this Friday, October 13th, at the Best Western on Lakeshore.
“Unions, workers, and the labour movement have had a long history with United Way,” says Henri Giroux, North Bay and District Labour Council president.
“As a result of the generosity of Nipissing residents, Nipissing United Way is able to help fight poverty, help children become successful, and help build stronger communities. United Way leaders help workers and employers make payroll deductions and ask customers for donations at points-of-purchase.
The doors open at 7AM this coming Friday at the Best Western and the cost is $25 per person. Everyone is welcome. The event features a delicious buffet, served at 7:30, and brief yet informative speeches to follow.
