News release: NORTH BAY, ON – January 13, 2016 – Schools in the Near North District School Board are actively accepting registrations for students who will be starting kindergarten this September. The Board provides English and French Immersion Early Learning Kindergarten Programs that engage children in learning opportunities to foster self-confidence and success.
Later this spring, each elementary school will host a Welcome to Kindergarten orientation session, where children and families will join educators and community partners in early learning experiences. Each child will receive a Welcome to Kindergarten Bag including books and resources to continue the learning together at home, as we set each child on a pathway for life-long learning.
Children entering Junior Kindergarten this September are required to be 4 years of age on or before December 31, 2016 and children entering Senior Kindergarten are required to be 5 years of age on or before December 31, 2016.
