On August 13, 2016 members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) commenced and investigation involving an overdue male that was traveling by kayak in a remote location.
OPP advise the public that the 67-year old male from New York has been located safe and without injury.
Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.

(TEMAGAMI, ON) – On August 13, 2016 at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information regarding an overdue 67-year old New York male that was traveling by kayak in a remote location.
The OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Aviation Services are assisting with this ongoing investigation and are currently searching in the Whitefish Bay area of Temagami.
