Powassan and District Union Public Library, with help from Patricia Kunkel, at Hummingbird Realty Inc and Pat O'Kane from CICB, hosted a tasty fundraiser at Veteran's Memorial Park on Main Street in Powassan Saturday.

This past winter the library held public consultations with the community, in conjunction with the architectural students and professors at Laurentian School of Architecture.
There was much interest Saturday as CEO Marie Rosset unveiled the plans for our expansion.
The communities of Powassan, Nipissing, and Chisholm are looking forward to a 2017 expansion of our well-used local library.
