The North Bay Regional Health Centre is getting one-time funding of $483,800 for the reimbursement of the hospital’s COVID-19 related capital expenses in the 2022-23 fiscal year.

“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Bay Regional Health Centre has gone above and beyond to provide exceptional care to patients and families in our community,” said MPP Vic Fedeli.

“Our health care system is seeing provincial-wide spikes in demand, pandemic backlogs and long waits to discharge patients to community care. The support from the province has ensured we could continue to provide safe, reliable care to our communities by helping us purchase the equipment required for temporary beds to support the increase in demand at our Health Centre,” added Paul Heinrich, President of the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
