TORONTO (November 2, 2016) – Today Trillium Gift of Life Network released new data on hospital donation performance. During the first quarter of 2016/17 (April 1 – June 30, 2016) Ontario hospitals maintained a 95 per cent routine notification rate.
Routine notification is the rate at which hospitals notify Trillium Gift of Life Network when there may be potential for organ and/or tissue donation. Nine hospitals attained a 100 per cent routine notification rate, including:
- North Bay Regional Health Centre
- Georgian Bay General Hospital
- Guelph General Hospital
- Pembroke Regional Hospital
- SickKids
- St. Mary’s General Hospital
- St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital
- University of Ottawa Heart Institute
- Woodstock General Hospital
