HERITAGE GARDENERS EDUCATION NIGHT:

Local Food - Local Farms

Why Community Supported Agriculture is important to farmers

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

7:00-8:00 pm

LOCATION:  Discovery North Bay Museum

100 Ferguson St., North Bay

You are invited to share in a Free Evening of Education with the Heritage Gardeners.

Midlothian Valley Farm is a 7 acre organic farm in its 5th year of operation just outside of Burk's Falls.  It is a family run business and a subsidiary of Gypsy Whole Foods with over 20 years experience in the health food industry.   We believe in being totally visible to our members and customers as it is important to us that you know how your food is grown, where is it grown and who is growing your food.

Join us and hear Brenda Tota talk about...

·         Who is Midlothian Valley Farm?

·         What is a Community Supported Agriculture Program (CSA)

·         Why a CSA is important for your farmer

·         Why a CSA is important for you

·         As part of the presentation will be a slide show of the farm

A Master Gardener will be on hand to answer any gardening or plant related questions.

Participants must pre-register by noon on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, by calling 705-472-4006 or emailing [email protected]

This session is free but donations are always welcome. Participants may also wish to participate in the twoonie raffle in support of Heritage Gardeners.  To find out more about the Heritage Gardeners Organization and to check our schedule of upcoming events, please go to our website: www.heritagenorthbay.com
