Head shaving the order of the day

Tomorrow (Friday) members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), members of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and members of the Parry Sound Fire Department (PSFD) will be getting their heads shaved during in the Cops for Cancer event in conjunction with the Relay for Life event being hosted by the students at the Parry Sound High School. 

The entire event will be held at Parry Sound High School from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. and is open to the public from 3 – 9 p.m. The public is encouraged to come and support the cause and the participants.

The hair cutting will begin at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. The public can buy luminaries for the luminary ceremony which is a time to remember those who have lost their lives to cancer.

Members of the public will be able to attend the event by entering the main office at the front entrance of the Parry Sound High School at 111 Isabella Street. From there the public is encouraged to proceed to the cafeteria where many of the major activities, such as hair cutting, will take place.
