Close call for a local motorist last week.
The man's daughter, Tina Loeffen, reported it happened on Highway 17 W at 8:30 Wednesday night when a red truck/SUV approached her father's vehicle in the wrong lane near the Eagle's Nest.
"He was heading towards Sturgeon and my dad was heading towards North Bay. He came into my dad's lane and Dad swerved to miss him but he hit my dad's vehicle, smashing the driver side mirror and leaving scratches and scuff marks on the wheel wells. The guy who hit my dad, his mirror flew off his truck/SUV and hit the car behind my dad. The guy stopped for a split second and took off towards Sturgeon. The vehicle is red and missing a driver side mirror!
"My parents are not injured but both vehicles hit were damaged
"It was a very scary ordeal for everyone."
