OPP have charged a person with speeding down a Sturgeon Falls street at 108 km/h.

Front Street is posted at only 60.

The incident happened last night as Nipissing West OPP were conducting traffic enforcement.

 As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old person from Sudbury is charged with "race a motor vehicle."

The driver, whose name was not released, was issued a seven-day driver's licence suspension and the vehicle was impoundment for the same period.

The accused was released on a provincial summons and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 10 in West Nipissing.

Meanwhile, the OPP says yesterday morning they were conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 69, in Cox Township, when a vehicle was stopped for traveling at 165 km/h in a posted 100 zone.

A 35-year-old person from Sudbury is charged with "race a motor vehicle."
