Gateway Theatre Guild presents 'The Savannah Sipping Society'

Over the course of six months, filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jumpstart their lives

The Gateway Theatre Guild is performing the northern Ontario premiere of Jones Hope Wooten’s international hit comedy The Savannah Sipping Society for five performances only.

"Join Randa, Dot, Marlafaye & Jinx on the verandah for an evening or afternoon as one by one they make this messed up world a happier place," says a GTG news release. "Over the course of six months, filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jump-start their lives. If you liked The Golden Girls, you’re going to love The Savannah Sipping Society."

The play is directed by Rob Ferron and stars Patsy McVicars, Julie Price Martel, Jennifer Ritchie and Rosemary Sidorko.

Show Dates are Nov 8-11 at 7 p.m. & Nov 12 at 2 p.m. at the École Secondaire Odyssée Auditorium, 480 Norman Ave. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. The Wednesday, November 8 performance is Pay-What-You-Can.
