Gateway Theatre Guild is back with Einstein

The show stars Rick Blair as Einstein

Gateway Theatre Guild will perform its first live production since before the pandemic: Einstein by Gabriel Emanuel.

It's produced by special arrangement with the Playwrights Guild of Canada. The show stars Rick Blair as Einstein and is directed by GTG President, Dr. Paul Monaghan.

"Einstein is a beautifully written piece both from the actor's and director’s point of view and also from the perspective of the audience’s experience," says a news release. "The writing allows the actor/character to form an intimate relationship with each audience, while at the same time both teaching them some science and gradually expressing Einstein’s regret at his own professional and personal failings. The emotional journey travelled by the protagonist during the performance is beautifully plotted by the author and superbly realized by Rick Blair."

The production runs from Wednesday, October 19 to Saturday, October 22 at 7 p.m. at Ecole Sécondaire Publique Odyssée, 480 Norman Ave.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for students & seniors can be reserved by emailing [email protected] or by calling 705-492-9575. Payment is by cash only at the door.

Doors open at 6.30 p.m.
