News release: On Tuesday, March 1, 6:45pm, the Nipissing Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society will be presenting a free workshop: PERSONAL DIGITAL ARCHIVING.

Richard Story will be running the introductory workshop.  Richard will discuss how to start & organize your own personal digital archive, and will demonstrate how to best digitize photos, letters, music, and more.  Attendees are encouraged to bring along a snapshot or small item to be digitized.

Richard Story is a digital imaging professional with over 20 years experience.  He is a leader and innovator in the new field of Personal Digital Archiving, and a professor of Digital Cinematography at Canadore College.

The workshop PERSONAL DIGITAL ARCHIVING will be held upstairs in the Joan Duquette Room, North Bay Public Library, 271 Worthington Street East on Tuesday, March 1, from 6:45pm to 8:30pm.
