You don't often see fights in a courthouse, but OPP say shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday, they responded to an assault that had occurred at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Elliot Lake.
The female victim told police that while waiting in the lobby of the courthouse, her boyfriend’s ex-wife charged out of the court room and a fight started between the two women.
As a result, a 30-year-old female, from Serpent River First Nation, Ontario, was arrested and charged with assault.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on September 6.
