East Side Mario’s hosted a golf tournament in July to help raise money for Victoria Order of Nurses (VON) and the Meals on Wheels Program and $2,700 was raised.
It was the 30th year for the event.
The VON is a not-for-profit organization and donations help maintain the quality service to those in our community. Services include Community Nursing; Home Support; Blood Work; Midwifery and Meals on Wheels.
The money raised this year will be going toward purchasing equipment to improve client services and to help our Meals on Wheels Program.
