At approximately 10:30PM on October 5, 2016 while patrolling Main Street in Huntsville OPP saw what appeared to be a homemade dune buggy travelling westbound on Main Street. The vehicle had three occupants, one was sitting on the hood holding the vehicles frame.
Police tried to stop the vehicle but the driver ignored them and sped by police leading them on a chase through town. The driver lost control and come to a stop on a side street.
The vehicle operator identified as Malcolm Malloy, 24, was arrested and charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
- Flight while pursued by police
- Operating an unsafe motor vehicle
- Operating a motor vehicle with no insurance
- Driving while under suspension
