Driving complaint leads to arrest

On September 26, 2016, at approximately 10:32 a.m., members of the Sudbury and Noelville Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a traffic complaint on Highway 17 in the Markstay Warren area.

The vehicle was reported swerving all over the road then stopping on the side of Highway 17 in the Municipality of West Nipissing.

The vehicle was located and it was found to have been reported stolen from Montreal.  As a result of the investigation, Steven Harley Pinnell, 33 years of age from Sault Ste Marie, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • 6 counts of Breach of Probation, 
  • Driving While Under Suspension, 
  • Careless Driving, 

The accused is being held pending a Bail Hearing.
