Greening Nipissing will host a Permeable Paving Workshop on October 29th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the 6th Floor Boardroom at City Hall, 200 McIntyre St. East.
Cost is $25.00. Registration deadline is October 22. Refreshments and lunch provided.
Industry experts will lead this education session with the purpose of examining green alternatives to asphalt and concrete paving. The goal is to inform and educate local contractors, builders, civil engineers, landscape architects, city planners, environmental consultants and interested citizens of the benefits a permeable paving system would have in helping to reduce flood risk and increase water quality.
