Driver charged after vehicle lands in swamp

The driver sustained no injuries and was traveling alone at the time of the collision

Members of the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a vehicle that was partially submerged in a swamp on Centennial Crescent in East Ferris Township around  8 p.m. on August 4th. 

OPP attended and located the vehicle and the male driver. The driver sustained no injuries and was traveling alone at the time of the collision.

As a result of the investigation, Kyle Muldrew, 31, of Cochrane, Ontario, was charged with: 

• Drive while ability impaired contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).

• Driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b)of the CC.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on September 5, 2017.
