Driver caught with Ecstasy and Percocet

They recognized the driver of a south bound vehicle. The female driver was known to police to be a suspended driver.

News release: (STRONG TWP, ON) – On Wednesday December 16, 2015 the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Unit, was travelling on Highway 124, Strong Township when they recognized the driver of a south bound vehicle.  The female driver was known to police to be a suspended driver.

OPP stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver, Christine MORRIS, 32 of McMurrich/Monteith Township.  Further investigation led to the discovery of ecstasy and Percocet’s.

Police charged the accused with the following offences;
• Possession of a schedule I substance (3 counts), contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Drive while under suspension (2 counts), contrary to the section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act

The accused female was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday January 28, 2016in Sundridge, Ontario.                                                     

 IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER DRIVING INTO THE DITCH

(ARMOUR TWP, ON) – On Saturday December 19, 2015 at approximately 9:00 p.m. the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was patrolling Leggett Road and Chetwynd Road when they observed a vehicle in the ditch. 

OPP investigated the collision and discovered that the driver had been drinking and subsequently arrested Richard CLARK, 53 of Burk’s Falls Ontario with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday January 28, 2016 in Sundridge, Ontario.
