As social gatherings and sports activities ramp up, don’t get FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) due to having COVID-19 or the flu.
The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is urging everyone six months of age and older to roll up their sleeves and get their annual flu vaccine and fall COVID-19 vaccine to help ensure a healthy and safe respiratory season.
The COVID-19 vaccine and flu shot are free and can conveniently and safely be received at the same time, reducing the need for multiple appointments. Individuals can get both the COVID-19 vaccine and flu shot by visiting a participating pharmacy, your primary care provider’s office, or a Health Unit community clinic.

Getting vaccinated reduces the risk of severe illness, which in turn can help prevent missing work, school, and social gatherings, and may also help protect others from illness.
