The North Bay HL Trappers Hockey team received a $1,500 donation from CLAC as part of the union’s Building Communities program.

The organization was nominated by Leo Levesque, who is a member of the Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 52, employed by Labonte Concrete Ltd.

“The North Bay HL Trappers Hockey team is a hockey team within the North Bay Minor Hockey Association in North Bay,” says Leo. “We believe that playing an organized sport as a youth promotes a passion for learning, provides leadership skills, and helps to develop lifelong friendships. This donation will go toward helping the kids get extra ice time and providing aid for lower-income families during the season.”

Formed in 1952, CLAC is a national union representing over 60,000 workers in almost every sector of the economy.
