June 2016 statistics

Over the month of June 2016, the North Bay Police Service responded to 80 domestic-related calls for service. As a result of police investigations into these complaints, 18 people were arrested and a total of 46 criminal charges were laid.

11 men were arrested and charged. The charges were:

  • two charges for assault with a weapon
  • seven charges for assault
  • one charge for criminal harassment
  • five charges for mischief
  • 14 breaches

Seven women were arrested and charged. The charges were:

  • one attempt murder
  • one charge for forcible confinement
  • one charge for assault with a weapon
  • six charges for assault
  • one charge for utter threats
  • two charges for mischief
  • five breaches

May 2016 statistics

Over the month of May 2016, the North Bay Police Service responded to 94 domestic-related calls for service. As a result of police investigations into these complaints, 17 people were arrested and a total of 40 criminal charges were laid.

13 men were arrested and charged. The charges were:

  • one charge for assault with a weapon
  • 10 charges for assault
  • two charges for sexual assault
  • two charges for utter threats
  • two charges for breaking and entering
  • three charges for mischief
  • four charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • eight breaches

Four women were arrested and charged. The charges were:

  • one charge for assault with a weapon
  • three charges for assault
  • one charge for utter threats
  • one charge for criminal harassment
  • one charge for mischief
  • one breach
