Over the month of March 2016, the North Bay Police Service responded to 93 domestic-related calls for service. As a result of police investigations into these complaints, 12 people were arrested and a total of 33 criminal charges were laid.
7 men were arrested and charged. The charges were:
- five charges of assault
- one charge of utter threats
- one charge for mischief
- one charge for criminal harassment
- one charge for possession (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act)
- one charge for forcible confinement
- nine charges for breach of release order
5 women were arrested and charged. The charges were:
- five charges for assault
- three charges for assault with weapon
- one charge for mischief
- four charges for breach of release order
