During the virtual symposium of the Association des gestionnaires de l'éducation franco-ontarienne (AGÉFO), which took place recently, Monique Ménard, Director of Education at CSCFN, received the 2021 Award of Merit for the pedagogical component.

It is a distinction granted to a maximum of two people per year, one for each of the pedagogical and administrative components, who have made an exceptional contribution to Franco-Ontarian education or to l’AGÉFO during their career.

"Recognized for her leadership in many educational committees and organizations, Monique Ménard is a strong advocate for Francophones and French-language Catholic education, " says a  CSCFN news release. "Her innovative ideas, insightful questions, passion and commitment to youth ensure that decisions made have an impact on all students, based on their profile and needs. Generous with her time, Mrs. Ménard always offers to participate in various local, provincial and national committees, thus contributing to the achievement of the Ministry of Education objectives, the French-language boards, the Catholic boards as well as her own school board. Through her extensive knowledge of pedagogy (the method and practice of teaching)  and special education, Monique continues to contribute tirelessly to the success of students, always with a focus on equity and inclusion."
