Mac Bain has been reappointed to the Board of Directors of the Association of Ontario Municipalities (AMO), as a member of the Northern Caucus. In May the North Bay City Council passed a resolution supporting Mac's nomination, as he was acclaimed during AMO's Annuals Conference in Windsor.
The main policy focuses for the AMO Board this week will be on Emergency Services (Interest Arbitration, Policing Modernization and Fire & Paramedic Services), Infrastructure and Climate Change .
The Main policy focuses for the FONOM Board this week at AMO are; issues with Provincial Standing Committees, a Forest Management Planning Manual, Energy Costs (Fuel Price Regulation & Electricity Costs), Policing, Climate Change Action Plan, Healthcare (Non-Urgent Patient Transfers, Small and Rural Hospitals & Northern Ontario School of Medicine) and Inter-Community Bus Modernization.
