North Bay Computer Doctors is celebrating a move to a new, more spacious location at 1236 Algonquin Ave. this week.

The company specializes in consumer IT services, phone repairs, tablet repairs and computer repairs and now has a huge parking lot next door.

"We're excited here because we've got four to five times the space compared to our former location so we can handle that much more workload," said CEO Sheldon Forgette.

"These days we've got a lot of viruses going around, and we're here to fix them, and we have a lot of broken screen repairs we do. We carry most inventory in-house so if you bring in your phone we can have it fixed for you in 30 minutes or less so we provide a really quick service.

"The other thing we do is when a client comes in we do all the diagnosing we need to do, then call our customers and give them a quote to approve or decline so you'll never get a surprise bill."

And his advice to keep your computer out of his shop?

"If you get a phone call asking for access to your computer because you might have a virus, or a call claiming to be Microsoft, generally it's a scam and you'll suffer from identity theft and so on, so be very careful."

The store is open seven days a week.
