Community invited to YMCA healthy kids day

A number of community organizations will be on site to engage children and families

On Sunday, April 30, the YMCA in North Bay is celebrating Healthy Kids Day by offering families the opportunity to drop by the YMCA for free. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to try the Y and participate in activities while learning the joys of living a healthy lifestyle, together, as a family.

What: YMCA Healthy Kids Day

When: Sunday, April 30th, 12 pm to 3 pm (Open swim 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm)

Where: North Bay YMCA, 186 Chippewa Street West

The YMCA will be on site offering healthy snacks, giant inflatables, games, fitness fun, music & dance, heart-pumping entertainment, health & safety tips and draws for great prizes.

Also part of YMCA Healthy Kids Day, a number of community organizations will be on site to engage children and families with information and fun, healthy activities including: The Metis Nation of Ontario, Community Living, Indian Friendship Centre, Hands the Family Health Network and booths from the City of North Bay and North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit.

Kids are also encouraged to bring their bikes and helmets for a Community Bike Rodeo with Discovery Routes.
