SUDBURY, Ont. – Camp Quality Northern Ontario is reaching out to you today to share some exciting news. Camp is less than a week away! This year’s Camp will be running from July 9th to 15 with the theme being Fandemonium!
Camp Quality Northern Ontario is a volunteer organization that offers young cancer patients (from 4 to 17 years old) an opportunity to escape their illness for an action pack week funded entirely by generous support from across northeastern Ontario. The week long summer camp is run entirely by volunteers and is free of charge for children battling cancer and their siblings.
A staff of over 100 volunteers allows Camp Quality Northern Ontario to succeed each year. Campers are paired one-on-one with an adult Companion to provide guidance and mentoring during a fun-filled week. Our dedicated volunteers also provide campers with meals, activities and medical support.
This year’s Camp will include 67 kids being accompanied by over 130 volunteers. Over the past 24 years, we have had 766 Volunteers, 154 Campers and 113 Siblings with our largest camp coming in 2014 with 128 volunteers, 58 campers and 18 siblings!
