Calvin Minister receives Award

Rev. Savill might just be the only reservist chaplain to have won this award.

The award is presented to Capt. Savill by Paul Acton (left), Commandant of the Canadian Forces Chaplain School, and Brigadier-General Guy Chapdelaine, Chaplain General, in recognition of her “superior ability and knowledge in pastoral care and servant leadership” and her ability to meet “every challenge with confidence and resolve.”

Capt. Frances Savill (centre) is minister at Calvin Presbyterian Church, North Bay, and a reservist chaplain with the Algonquin Regiment.  She was honoured with the title of Top Candidate when she completed her Chaplain Basic Occupation Qualification Course at the Canadian Forces Chaplain School at Base Borden. Rev. Savill might just be the only reservist chaplain to have won this award.  

The award was presented to Capt. Savill by Paul Acton, Commandant of the Canadian Forces Chaplain School, and Brigadier-General Guy Chapdelaine, Chaplain General, in recognition of her “superior ability and knowledge in pastoral care and servant leadership” and her ability to meet “every challenge with confidence and resolve.”
