Cabaret to raise funds to fight pipeline

A local group concerned about the risks posed by a proposal to convert a pipeline from natural gas to crude oil is hosting a cabaret style evening of arts and entertainment to raise funds and to raise awareness about their concerns.

The "Resistance Cabaret" will be held March 19th at the Davedi Club, and will to raise awareness about the project and raise funds for community outreach and information sharing about the risks associated the proposed Energy East pipeline conversion. The program will include several local musicians and bands, dance performances, poetry readings, video shorts and an art sale. Pizza and deserts will also be available.

Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the program begins at 7:30 on Saturday, March 19th at the Davedi Club, 313 Airport Road, North Bay.  Tickets available at the F.A.R.M., 154 Main Street West. Only 250 Tickets Available.
