Brain Injury awareness event

The purpose of this event is to increase awareness of acquired brain injuries and the impact they can have on survivors and their families

The Brain Injury Association of North Bay and Area (BIANBA) is hosting a Brain Injury Awareness Event on Tuesday, June 4 at The Grande Event Centre. This event will run from noon until 3 and admission is free.

The purpose of this event is to increase awareness of acquired brain injuries and the impact they can have on survivors and their families. Ten local businesses and agencies will be setting up tables and displays:

  • Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA)
  • Brainworks Rehab
  • Martel & Mitchell Physiotherapy
  • Nipissing Mental Health Housing and Support Services
  • The Gathering Place
  • March of Dimes Canada
  • Ohana Yoga and Wellness Centre
  • VON North Bay
  • Symetrics
  • Brain Injury Association of North Bay and Area (BIANBA)

BIANBA will also be showcasing our expanded display of masks from the Unmasking Brain Injury movement. This display features almost 60 masks that were created by local acquired brain injury survivors and caregivers, and provides a powerful insight into their stories..
