Caregivers are invited to a day-long seminar on November 19 in Sudbury featuring Dr. Alan Wolfelt, educator and author of more than 50 bestselling books on grief and loss.
The North East LHIN is supporting the event as part of its goal to enhance hospice and palliative care across the region.
What: Exploring the Value and Function of Grief Symptoms: The “Companioning” Helping Role, presented by the Bereavement Foundation of Sudbury
When: November 19, 2014 - 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Where: Holiday Inn, 96 Regent St., Sudbury
Cost: $85 per person or $75 for groups of six or more

During the day, Dr. Wolfelt, Director of the Center for Loss and Life Transition, will explore a variety of topics related to understanding and supporting survivors of sudden deaths.
This seminar is geared to anyone who cares for the bereaved including volunteers, social workers, counsellors, clergy, chaplains, nurses, personal support workers, and lay ministers.
