On Sunday evening Temiskaming OPP responded to a call of an assault with a weapon on Browning Avenue, in Temiskaming Shores.
Investigation revealed that a fight took part between two people involving a bat. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The attacker continued to cause damage in the residence before fleeing on foot.
The victim ran to a nearby neighbour for safety.
A short time after, police located the accused and he was arrested.
Warren Evans, 41, of Temiskaming Shores, is charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Assault
- Mischief Under $5,000
Evans was released by way of an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 12 in Temiskaming Shores.
