Arsonist levels summer camp

Estimate value of the camp and four out buildings is over $119,000.

On October 9, 2016, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a camp that burned to the ground a week prior at Gull Beak Lake north of the City of Elliot Lake.                                                                                                                     

A camp and three other smaller out buildings were burned to the ground.  Police attended the area in Bolger Township.  A gate to the camp had been damaged; a steel post had been ripped from a concrete block on the left of the driveway and had been pulled across the driveway.  Each building was burned individually.  Estimate value of the camp and four out buildings is over $119,000.

Elliot Lake Fire Services attended and notified Ontario Fire Marshal.
