Applications Open for Summer Company Program

It is part of Ontario’s Youth Jobs Strategy and offers mentorship, training and awards of up to $3,000 to students aged 15 to 29.

Nrws release: The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound is accepting applications for the Summer Company program, which helps youth start their own business and gain the skills they need to succeed.

Summer Company is part of Ontario’s Youth Jobs Strategy and offers mentorship, training and awards of up to $3,000 to students aged 15 to 29. Students can apply online until May 6

Last year, 15 students in our region receiving funding to launch their own companies, including 15 year-old Braiden Hines from Almaguin Highlands Secondary School, owner of Grade A Phone and Tablet Repair. Braiden saw the opportunity to create his own summer job and continues to serve clients throughout the Almanguin and North Bay area with great success. In his words, “My experience with Summer Company was amazing! I learned so much about the business world and got lots of help from my mentors! If I had the chance to do Summer Company all over again I would definitely do it again!”
