A group of social service worker students is running a fundraiser for the Amelia Rising Sexual Assault Centre tonight.
"Our fundraiser is a concert called The Sound of Consent, and we were hoping to reach out to the community to help spread the word," Brandon Dadd told BayToday. "Our event is this coming Friday, March 29th from 7 to 11 p.m. at the White Water Gallery."
Entry to the event is $5 in advance with $10 entry at the door.
The goal of this fundraiser is to provide financial support for Amelia Rising in the wake of the government cuts to social protection services explained Dadd.
